NE Harrier League South Shields FINAL MATCH
Sat 28 March

Phew an exciting end to the season! Congratulations to the Under 15 Boys who won their team category overall and to Steph Bruce, Josh Brown and Sam Hearn, individual Grand Prix winners in their age groups. Also well done to Megan Lewis, third in the Under 17/20 women's category, and to the Under 15 girs who finished second team overall.

Congratulations to the senior women who finished second. After holding top spot for the last two fixtures they were denied top spot on countback (Heaton had one better-placed finish) how close is that?! They were almost victims of their own success, with most of the squad running from the fast pack! A terrific effort from Karen Robertson who won the individual grand prix for veteran women.

It came down to the wire for the senior men too, who avoided relegation by a hair's breadth, finishing above Durham City on countback.

Well done to all who ran during the season. Remove those spikes, squirt in a bit of WD40 and look forward to the Autumn when iot all starts again!

NE Harrier League Prudhoe
Sat 14 March

The senior women and the U15 boys excelled for the club again on Saturday, both coming in as first team in their races. The lads were particularly impressive, with Josh, Simeon and Kieran coming in in 1st, 2nd and 3rd places respecitively and thats running from the fast pack! James Stewart wasn't far behind in 4th either.

The senior men managed to place as 3rd team - thanks to some solid running from the medium pack, but particulalry to and 11th place finish for Ian Bromley, runing from the slows. The men are in a desperate battle to avoid relegation from the top division so please turn out for the last race at Temple Park on 28th March. You are especially needed if you haven't run a Harrier League before or for some time, as you will be starting from the slow pack and will stand a good chance of scoring for the club.
