Coaches

Mary McGee was a coach and member of Tynedale Harriers for many years. She dedicated a lot of time to the junior section of the club, both in coaching and taking teams to Young Athletes’ League matches.

She died in 2007 and as a tribute to her and her work with the club a fund has been set up.

This fund is for the benefit of junior athletes who need financial help, whether with training, kit or travelling costs.

Any junior athlete may submit one application per year on the form provided.

The current age entry requirement for Tynedale Harriers is 11 years old or in or above school year 6. The Club does not currently provide coaching for Under 11's, and is therefore unable to provide full membership of Tynedale Harriers for this age group. However we realise that some U11's would like the opportunity to compete in events where under 11 races are offered eg. some of the NEHL cross country fixtures. To facilitate this we are introducing “Mini Membership”.
Mini-membership is now available (for the period up to and including 31 March 2012) for those Under 11's who wish to compete under the Club's name subject to certain requirements being met. Full details can be found in the mini-membership form attached for your information. We should emphasise that this is for competition purposes only.
