The Dent Brewery Dentdale Run – Saturday 13th March 2010

Held in March around the picturesque village of Dent in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, this is a tough run of around 14 miles. Check out the website for some photographs of the 2009 event – home baking after the race is legendary!

Kintyre Way Relay – Saturday 1st May 2010

The Kintyre Way Relay is a cross-country event for walkers and runners, from Tarbert to Campbeltown along the Kintyre Way, Scotland’s most scenic long-distance path.

·Relay Run: 66 miles, starting Tarbert 6am. You decide how to share out the 66 miles among your team of 2 to 6 runners.

·Ultra-run:66 miles in one day!

·Long-Distance Walk: choose 18, 22 or 31

Stunning scenery with views across the sea to Arran, Islay, Jura and Gigha.

Lairig Ghru - Saturday 19th June (tbc)

An SAL category C Long Hill Race run over 28 miles

An ultra distance hill race, between the police stations of Braemar and Aviemore, with 28 miles of spectacular scenery, run over an historic drove road rising to 2733 ft. between some of the highest peaks in Britain. Organised by Deeside Runners, a club based in Aboyne. The club ranks include four former “Lairig” winners and other competitors who wish to maintain the event in the established manner and spirit, an awesome source of pleasure, pain and satisfaction.
