The club relay this year will be over a 9-leg route between Barnard Castle and Allendale Town. The route initially follows the Teesdale Way before climbing through the North Pennines to join the Weardale Way near Stanhope. A further climb up the Boltslaw incline leads over to the Derwent Valley at Blanchland before heading to Allendale via Whitley Chapel.
The wide variety of terrain provides relay legs suitable for all abilities.
Boxing Day Run from Steel Rigg
Saturday 26th December at 10am
A mixed ability, multi-terrain run organised by Paul Tait.
From Steel Rigg car park ... plenty of snow ...
... running was not neccessarily the best way to get about!
Pics from the day here.
